Finding some Joy

I decided to turn this watercolor sketch from a photo into an oil painting. So, I am painting it on Masonite board. I love the feel of the paint moving across the Masonite board, the creaminess it can produce and how the board holds the oils.The brushstrokes it can create. I am almost finished and am excited about the painting it. It's nice to change material every now and then. I was getting a little tired of  working on canvas. So, working with Masonite board is a nice change and inspirational. Now, I have to finish all the work I started on canvas so I can concentrate on my newer works.
