Melissa, who I know on the artist's objective.com website (great website for artist. It's full of great advice from Melissa and other artists. She is the one who suggested I add detail to Ganesha's face. That was the push I needed to get out of my artist block. It was like a door opened and I instantly knew what the painting needed.
This Hindu God, who removes obstacles, is commonly prayed to before new adventures. How perfect to that I'm painting him as I start this journey. It feels great to step away from the still life paintings and start painting from the imagination. It's refreshing! It's inspiring! He is still a work in progress but I feel it is almost complete.
