These are wonderful sketches.
About the book, I got it from my local library, see if you can find it in yours before buying. It covers lot of textures, good for beginner in watercolor. There is no step by step instructions, but she mentions techniques used, around the sketches. Very few times she has mentioned what color has been used. You can look inside this book on Amazon.
